Club Events

Vets Club 17-18 Outdor

As a club, we engage in a variety of activities to build camaraderie throughout the club, engage our local community, and enhance the welfare of veterans at large.

Thursday Night Vets Happy Hour

We meet at various places on Thursdays throughout the month to relax after a week of classes, build our networks, and get to know each other better.  We have held these Happy Hours at the following locations

Community Service Projects

There are many opportunities to serve our communities and the veterans within it.  We have participated and plan to participate in events such as:

  • Partnering with Team Red White and Blue (RWB) on a Toys For Tots Toy Drive
  • Flag Unfurling at Notre Dame sporting events
  • Campus improvement activities such as the flag posting in front of the Hesburgh Library
  • Volunteering at the Veterans Homeless Shelter
  • Wreaths Across America

Veteran Engagement

The club promotes several veteran-centered events throughout the year.  The club actively participates in Veterans Appreciate Football Weekend, hosts a Veterans Preview Weekend for prospective veteran applicants, and is working to create a veteran endowment to support future veterans at Notre Dame.

MBA Veterans Conference

As a founding member, Notre Dame consistently sends MBA Veterans to this national conference, which provides veterans enrolled in a top MBA program a chance to network early.  The Veterans Conference also has activities such as on-site interviews, and even the chance to land an internship or full time offer early in the recruiting cycle.

Professional Development

We believe that every veteran can provide tremendous value to any firm or organization.  The Vets Club mentors first year students and provides the necessary guidance to secure a role in an industry they want.  We also host firms such as Boeing, McKinsey & Co, and Procter & Gamble to come to campus and speak directly to veterans.
